Our final Anime Nite Orlando of 2015 will be a special double dose showing of the late, great director, Satoshi Kon! On Thursday, December 17th at Bikkuri Lounge, we'll be showing both Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers!
In the near future, a revolutionary new psychotherapy treatment called PT has been invented. Through a device called the "DC Mini" it is able to act as a "dream detective" to enter into people's dreams and explore their unconscious thoughts.
Before the government can pass a bill authorizing the use of such advanced psychiatric technology, one of the prototypes is stolen, sending the research facility into an uproar. In the wrong hands, the potential misuse of the device could be devastating, allowing the user to completely annihilate a dreamer's personality while they are asleep.
Renowned scientist, Dr. Atsuko Chiba, enters the dream world under her exotic alter-ego, code name "PAPRIKA," in an attempt to discover who is behind the plot to undermine the new invention.
On a Christmas Eve, three Tokyo homeless -- mid-aged alcoholic man Gin, high school runaway girl Miyuki, and former drag queen Hana -- were searching dumpsters and trash bags for possible Christmas gifts for themselves, when cries from a baby drew their attention.
Believing this was a gift from God, Hana, who couldn't have a baby of "her" own, vowed to take care of the abandoned baby girl and together they began searching for baby's mother.

Every third Thursday of the month, we host Anime Nite Orlando at Bikkuri Lounge, located at 1919 E. Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL! This event is free and doors open at 8:00pm! You must be over 18 years of age with a valid I.D. to enter.

Thursday, January 16th is Anime Nite Orlando! As we've said before, we'll be showing Perfect Blue as our main feature. We're now excited to announce what we'll be showing with it!

To compliment Perfect Blue tomorrow night, we're showing the classic Key the Metal Idol and another Satoshi Kon work, Paranoia Agent!
Key the Metal Idol is about a robot girl who existence in threatened when her creator dies. In his last words, he tells Key that she must make 30,000 friends before her battery runs out so that she can be come human. She ends up going to Tokyo to accomplish this but gets involved with some shady people from the get-go.
Paranoia Agent is about a social phenomenon in Musashino, Tokyo caused by a juvenile serial assailant named Lil' Slugger(or Shonen Bat) who attacks people that try to declare their innocence, but have skeletons in their closet and a secret desire to get what's coming to them.
Some very sophisticated, compelling anime this Thursday night, brought to you by Propeller Anime! This event is free and you must be over 18 with valid I.D. to enter. Doors open at 8pm!
