Yes! Anime is back at the legendary Enzian Theater in Maitland, FL with Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's fantasy epic, Princess Mononoke! You can bet that we will be there Tuesday, May 10th AND Friday, May 13th for an awesome night!
UPDATE: The May 10th showing is SOLD OUT, but the May 13th is still available. Get them soon!
For those new to the Enzian, it is a dinner theater, so you can order food and drinks before the movie starts. It is definitely the best place in Orlando to watch a movie so we're excited that this is happening.
The Enzian Theater is located at 1300 South Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751.
Princess Mononoke at The Enzian! (5/10 & 5/13)
Mamoru Hosoda, director of Summer Wars and Wolf Children, has a new film coming to the states that we have been excited about for a while: The Boy and The Beast! This movie will be playing in movie theaters throughout the nation March 4th to March 10th!
We're going to see the Saturday, March 5th 1:10pm showing at the AMC 24 Disney Springs, located at 1500 N Buena Vista Drive, Orlando, FL, 32830.
When Kyuta, a young orphan living on the streets of Shibuya, stumbles into a fantastic world of beasts, he�s taken in by Kumatetsu, a gruff, rough-around-the-edges warrior beast who�s been searching for the perfect apprentice.
Despite their constant bickering, Kyuta and Kumatetsu begin training together and slowly form a bond as surrogate father and son. But when a deep darkness threatens to throw the human and beast worlds into chaos, the strong bond between this unlikely pair will be put to the ultimate test�a final showdown that will only be won if the two can finally work together using all of their combined strength and courage. Even if you can't see this movie on March 5th with us, there will be plenty of showtimes Between March 4th and 10th and it will also be playing at the Universal Citywalk movie theater as well. Do not miss this movie in theaters!

The Boy and The Beast Official Gathering! (3/5)
This Sunday, November 29th, The Enzian Theater in Maitland, FL will be playing Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's classic film, Kiki's Delivery Service. Some of us already have tickets and we want to see you there too!
The movie starts at noon but let's meet around 11am to hang out before the movie so we can get good seats together. Also, The Enzian is a dinner theater so you can order food and drinks and enjoy those while watching the movie.

On November 10th, 11th, and 16th, a brand new Ghost in the Shell movie from Funimation will be in theaters nationwide and we'll be going to the Plaza Cinema Cafe in downtown Orlando on Wednesday, November 11th to enjoy this movie!
Set after the events of Ghost in the Shell: Arise, the film involves the assassination of the Prime Minister of Japan which is publicly described as the "greatest event since the war". It is up to Public Security Section 9, led by Major Motoko Kusanagi, to discover the true nature of the murder. They are aided by the Prime Minister's son, Osamu Fujimoto. Directed by Kazuya Nomura and produced by Prodiuction I.G.
We'll be meeting up at around 7:00pm. Parking at the Plaza Cinema Cafe garage is $2.50 after the theater validates your parking ticket or you can park for free at Lake Eola or parking meters after 6:00pm.

NEW Ghost in the Shell Movie in Theaters!
We're going to see the latest Studio Ghibli movie, When Marnie Was There, at the Florida Film Festival! It's been a while since anime was at the Florida Film Festival so let's go out there in full force!
When Marnie Was There is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi(The Secret World of Arrietty). The showing will be Sunday, April 19th at noon at the Regal Winter Park Village! (510 N. Orlando Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32798. Get your tickets here!
We recommend meeting at the movie theater by 11:30am to get a good seat. We'll get food somewhere nearby afterward! Stay tuned!
When Marnie Was There at the Florida Film Festival! (4/19)
Today is a very exciting day for anime fans in and around Orlando, FL! If you have been following us, then you know we had a very successful crowdfund campaign to raise the funds needed to reserve a movie theater for our "Best of 2013" Anime Showcase that will be FREE to the public.
Now, we have big news to announce!
Propeller Anime's "Best of 2013" will take place on Sunday, January 12th, 2014 at the Plaza Cinema Cafe located at 155 South Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando!
We did it!
This is something that the anime community has needed for quite sometime: a chance for us all to come together and watch fantastic anime on the big screen! We can't even begin to tell you how excited we are!

- We're shooting for 2pm or 3pm to start the event.
- Wristbanding for entry will start an hour before.
- The theater rental length is FOUR hours!
- There will be a 10-minute intermission halfway through.
- Seating is limited and first come, first serve. Please arrive early.
- A voting committee is being organized to pick the best anime!
- There will be an after-party nearby afterward! (Details TBA)
- There is no age-restriction, but viewer discretion is advised.
- Did we mention that admission is FREE?!
The seating capacity for the largest theater at the Plaza Cinema Cafe is 214. We would like to upgrade to that and we're seeking sponsorships to help get us there!

Announcing Propeller Anime's "Best of 2013" @ The Plaza Cinema Cafe on January 12th, 2014!
This weekend is the biggest and best anime convention in the south east: Anime Weekend Atlanta! They have a fantastic guest list featuring the likes of Toshio Furukawa, Mitsuo Iwata, Chris Sabat, the infamous Chris "moot" Poole, and a strong representation from the anime industry. The schedule is most excellent, with great things to do all weekend long!
Once again, we are happy and honored to be a part of AWA's prestigious schedule, with "The Brutal Kings of MMA Manga" on Friday at 5:30pm and "It's MANIME! The Manly Anime Panel!" Saturday at 9:30pm!
We have our 7th Anniversary Party coming up in 5 weeks, just in time for Halloween! There will be a lot of fun things to do and we are excited to announce that we have DJ RoboRob as one of our performers! (Listen to one of his mixes here!)
RoboRob just killed it this past Saturday at the Random Encounter album release party at The Social and we're looking forward to seeing what anime and videogame dance mixes he'll have at our party on October 26th! (RSVP on Facebook!)
We just made it past $100 in donations for our crowdfund campaign to do awesome things like show anime in a movie theater for our "Best of 2013" event! What a great first step!
This is a big event we've wanted to do for a while and it comes with a high price tag. However, if we all chip in a little, we can make this happen. Plus, we have a lot of really cool rewards for helping out!
Anime conventions and other groups may be interested to know that we have added a reward tier called "Bizarre Adventure." If you donate at least $25, we'll put your name and whatever it is you are promoting in a "Thank You" video that will be shown several times during the "Best of 2013" event and will be available on YouTube!

This week, we'll be announcing the details of our next Anime Nite Orlando, which will be Thursday, October 10th at Bikkuri Lounge. Since October is Halloween all month long in Orlando, we are going with a horror theme once again!
Last year, we showed Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust as our main feature. We haven't decided what we will be showing yet or what will be voted on, but we're open to suggestions!

We've done a lot of awesome stuff in 2013 and we're looking forward to our 7th anniversary party. Before this year ends, we want to do something really awesome with all of you!
It's time we get anime into the movie theater!
We're wanting to get the "Best of 2013" anime marathon into a movie theater and we want to get better equipment for Anime Nite Orlando. However, those things cost quite a bit of money and we don't have enough to take care of it all. So we need your help!
Support our donation drive!
There is an awesome donation drive that is going on right now and will end on October 20th, just right before our party! We have a lot of awesome rewards you will get for helping us out, including Propeller Anime swag that we are going to have made if the campaign is a success!
