On Thursday, November 19th, Propeller Anime is excited to host a very special Anime Nite Orlando at Bikkuri Lounge, for it will be the 20th anniversary of the theatrical release of the essential anime classic, Ghost in the Shell!
To celebrate that and the upcoming release of the new GitS animated movie, we will be showing the original film in high definition glory!
Ghost in the Shell follows the hunt of the public security agency Section 9 for a mysterious hacker known as the Puppet Master. With the assistance of her team, Motoko Kusanagi tracks and finds their suspect, only to be drawn into a complex sequence of political intrigue and a cover-up as to the identity and goals of the Puppet Master. But that's not all! We will also show another movie from Production I.G and director Mamoru Oshii, Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, also in beautiful bluray!
After witnessing the suicide bombing of a terrorist girl, Constable Kazuki Fuse becomes haunted by her image, and is forced to undergo retraining for his position in the Capital Police's Special Unit.

Every third Thursday of the month, we host Anime Nite Orlando at Bikkuri Lounge, located at 1919 E. Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL! This event is free and doors open at 8:00pm! You must be over 18 years of age with a valid I.D. to enter.
Bikkuri Lounge is an anime fan's paradise with the best in Japanese cuisine including sushi and sake, and a full bar with drink specials such as 2-for-1 beers and $4.00 wells until midnight!
ANIME NITE ORLANDO: Ghost in the Shell 20th Anniversary! (11/19)
Propeller Anime is going to turn Bikkuri Lounge upside down with our September 17th edition of Anime Nite Orlando! We picked out a few great things that we think you all will like.
We'll be showing Patema Inverted, directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura (Time of Eve), as our main feature! It's a fantastic, coming of age film if you have not seen it yet. Plus, we'll be showing some great animated shorts! Including one that won one of Japan's highest honors.
In the Patema Inverted's introduction, an experiment in the near future to attempt to harness the Earth's gravity for energy results in the devastation of much of the surface as nearly everyone and everything is thrown into a reverse gravity field and sent flying from the Earth.
Some years later, Patema is a respected teenage woman that lives in a society that resides underground. Inspired by her friend Lagos, who had left many years before, she explores the tunnels. One day, she falls into a pit that leads her to a new world where everything is upside down. Or is she upside down? This event unravels the dark history between the two worlds and the chaos that will follow.
That's not all! We also have this amazing anthology of four amazing animated shorts called Short Peace, featuring the award winning Combustible from Katsuhiro Otomo. (AKIRA)
And we'll be opening with with another short film, Cencoroll, which was nearly singlehandedly written, designed, directed, and animated by manga author Atsuya Uki.

ANIME NITE ORLANDO featuring Patema Inverted and Short Peace! (9/17)
Anime Fans! Nerds! Propellerheads! We need your support for a great cause! On Saturday, August 1st at The Geek Easy, we will be hosting an Anime Charity Prom to benefit the kids and foster families of our friends, One Hope United!
School is about to start and we need you to bring school supplies like paper, pencils, erasers, notebooks, composition books, folders, binders, backpacks and anything else needed for class!
You get into the party with either a donation of school supplies or $5 that we�ll give to One Hope United to buy more supplies for their kids! That way, they can have a great year at school!
There will be great music for you to dance to all night, plus prize raffles and videogames! Our DJs for the night will be Dj Roborob, BFunk20XX, and DJ Cylon and we have great prizes from generous sponsors such as Anime Orlando Inc, Shadocon, Crunchyroll, Ongaku Overdrive, CEO Gaming, Orlando Nerd Fest, Solid State Society, and A Comic Shop, with more to come.

Our Anime Charity Prom to Benefit One Hope United starts at 8:00pm on August 1st and goes all night!
