THIS SATURDAY is our 7th Anniversary Post-Apocalyptic Halloween Party! It will be at Taste(717 W. Smith St. Orlando, FL) and doors open at 8pm! It's going to be the greatest Halloween party OF ALL TIME!

Here are some things you need to know before you come out!


We have two sweet plaques for our costume contest. If you want to be in, you need to be in by 9:30pm and signed up for pre-judging. If you have a costume from an anime, manga, or videogame, then wear it! Convention passes from awesome events Anime Weekend Atlanta, Anime Festival Orlando, and Knightrokon will be awarded to the winners!

The costume contest begins at 10:30pm! Before that, We'll have a nerdcore showcase at 9:00pm with music inspired by anime and videogames from MagiTek, MC Wreckshin, and Shammers!

All night will be videogames by the bar! If you have a Nintendo 3DS, bring it! You might want to bring a copy of Pokemon X/Y for Streetpass Central Florida will have a tournament to see who is the very best, like no one ever was!

We're gonna be slightly retro and bring out a Sega Dreamcast with a copy of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! (ORAORAORA!)

Taste has a full service bar and tapas restaurant! So bring your thirst and appetite! Parking is in the back!

After the costume contest, DJ RoboRob is going to bring something down right fierce. If you have glowsticks or other dance gear, bring it! He may also destroy the building with his base cannon. You have been warned.

There will be hourly prize raffles and upon admission, you will receive a free raffle ticket! You can buy even more! $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for 6 tickets!After DJ RoboRob is karaoke until 2am! We have over 1,500 songs in our collection! Get your drinks and sing along with some awesome people!


In case you did not know, we had a donation drive to raise money to rent out a movie theater for our "Best of 2013" anime showcase. Well, we SUCCEEDED and that will be happening! But, as a condition of one of the tiers claimed, Kent Ward will be at the party in full-on drag! It will be exciting or scary, depending on who you are.

You may ask, "How much does this all cost? Most anime conventions in Florida would charge $50 for less." Great question! The truth is, we just want a bunch of people to come out and have a fun time being anime fans and nerds in general! So to cover the costs of the event, we only ask that you bring $5 for your admission!

Keep in mind that Taste is a place of business and they are letting us use their space for our party. Please be respectful to Taste, the staff, and any other patrons that come in that night. Also, this is an 18+ event so bring your ID!

On October 26th, we celebrate seven years of fun times and being anime fans with the greatest otaku Halloween party of all time! We'll be at Taste and we'll have a night of live music, videogames, a costume contest, karaoke, hourly prize raffles, and more!

We've been working really hard on making sure this party is awesome and here are all the new things to be excited about!


We'll have prizes available for our costume contest and our hourly raffle!

For the costume contest, the winners of our "Best in Show" and post-apocalyptic themed "Do Survive 199X" will receive plaques to commemorate the victory and convention passes!

The winner of Do Survive 199X will receive passes to Anime Festival Orlando and Knightrokon, both taking place next summer.

The winner of Best in Show will receive passes to Knightrokon and a convention we just attended and enjoyed: Anime Weekend Atlanta, with its 20th incarnation taking place September 26th-28th! 

If you are entering the costume contest, you need to be at the party and signed up by 9:30pm! There will be a prejudging session for each contestant so we can announce the winners after everyone has walked the stage! Your costume must be from an anime, manga, or videogame!

Everyone who comes to our party will get a raffle ticket for our prize raffle and you can purchase more for additional chances to win! Each additional ticket costs $1 or you can get 6 for $5! Starting with 9pm, we'll have awesome prizes to give away to lucky winners every hour!

Prizes for the raffle will include cool stuff from our stash, plus prizes courtesy of awesome otaku shop Anime Orlando Inc, spring music festival Ongaku Overdrive, Anime Festival Orlando, and Knightrokon! (UPDATE: We just confirmed a new sponsor in Crunchyroll!)


After the costume contest will be an amazing dance party performed by none other than DJ Roborob! He just performed at the Random Encounter album release party and he's going to bring a sick dance party that you won't experience at any of the local anime conventions. (Dear local anime conventions: book RoboRob.)

We are excited to announce that Streetpass Central Florida will be at our party! They have been doing a lot of awesome event in the community and they'll be hosting a Nintendo 3DS Streetpass meetup at our party! If you have a Nintendo 3DS, you should bring it!

They will also be running videogame tournaments as well. In a future post, we'll have details about that but you might want to make sure that you have your newly caught pocket monsters trained well!

Wow, that's a lot of stuff! October 26th is going to be awesome! Doors open at 8pm and you get all this and more for only $5! What an amazing value! We hope to see you as Propeller Anime grows a year older!

Hey anime fans! Summer is coming up which means the convention season is going to get out of control! Everyone and their mother is running an anime con these days and you may be confused on which one(s) you should go to. We are here to help! This June, start off the Summer right as our friends at Anime Spot present KnightroKon!

You best believe that we're going to be there!

KnightoKon will be a two-day celebration for fans of anime and videogames at the UCF Student Union. They'll have voice actor Cripsin Freeman making his first appearance at a convention in Orlando, lots of live music, a Pokemon-themed Murder Mystery, and a dance party DJ'd by the always high-tier Benjamin Briggs.

Not only that, they'll have a plethora of great panels, events, showings, games, and more! Here is what to expect from us:


Video Room

Fans have been sick of conventions giving anime the shaft for years in favor of whatever is being sold at Hot Topic this week. But fear not! KnightroKon has a videoroom in a location that is easy to find and they have shown great intelligence by allowing Propeller Anime to show a lot of great stuff all weekend long!

For you to see, we'll have a mix of classic anime, cutting-edge anime, and anime with balls! Not only that, we'll have spotlights on awesome anime openings, music videos, and abridged anime! Hanging out in a video room at a convention won't ever be as cool.(Until we do it again.)


Panels

We put a lot of work, research, and passion into our panels. We feel it's important that if someone pays to go to a con and chooses to spend an hour with us, that they leave a better fan than they came in.

At KnightroKon, we'll have a mix of fan favorites plus new panels to check out, including "It's MANIME! The Manly Anime Panel: God-Tier Edition!," "Intro into Mecha Anime for Modern Fans," "30 Years of Gainax," "Anime Death-Match" and "The Brutal Kings of MMA Manga."


Iron Cardboard Robot Cosplay

Man, it's been FOREVER since we hosted Iron Cardboard Robot Cosplay! The idea is simple, teams of 3 participants will have 75 minutes to make and model a robot costume constructed from cardboard, foil, construction paper, tape, and a SECRET INGREDIENT.

After 75 minutes, each team will be scored by a panel of judges who will give insightful critiques. The team with the highest score will win the title of IRON CARDBOARD ROBOT, prize swag, and a shiny plaque to hang up with pride!


The Official KnightroKon VIP Party 

KnightroKon doesn't end Sunday evening like most conventions! The con keeps going with the OFFICIAL VIP PARTY that will take place at the awesome BBoy Spot, located close to UCF. Only $5 to get in with a KnightoKon pass and there will be FREE BEER to make things more fun!

There will be live nerdy music from awesome acts such as HD Ninja, MagiTek, and MC Wreckshin. Skill Focus will be rocking some kick-ass burlesque. Then Benjamin Briggs will be back for ROUND TWO so make sure you keep your glowsticks! If you want to make sure you don't miss this party, then RSVP here!
